About You

We believe that you invest to control your future. You want your investments to not only meet your needs but to also give you choices.

It’s a simple goal, but not always easy to achieve. Investing is hard.

We describe the challenge of investing this way:

Making decisions in the face of uncertainty, on the basis of incomplete information where the consequences of those decisions may not be known or understood for a long time.

This involves a lot more than a risk profile and an asset allocation to match.

A sound investment plan is built on a clear picture of where you are now and where you want to be in the future. And it needs to show you how the decisions that you’ll make along the way and how changes in the economy and financial markets could affect your outcome.

To do this, you need to:

  • Identify your unique investment edge

  • Identify how much risk you need to take to meet your objectives

  • Focus on solving your future income needs and not just allocating your current assets

  • Invest in a simple and transparent portfolio that focuses on maximising net-of-fee returns

  • Consider how other decisions, such as savings and spending, might affect future outcomes

  • Consider your implied/intangible economic assets and liabilities as well as your financial ones

We’d like to help, which is why we invite you to make an appointment to come in and sit with us for a while.

You’ll meet Daniel Grioli, Managing Partner and co-founder of Guiscard Capital.

Daniel will ask you to provide some information about you and your long-term goals. Then he’ll review your portfolio with you.

If Daniel thinks your investments continue to be well suited to your long-term goals, he’ll gladly tell you so, and send you on your way. If, on the other hand, Daniel thinks some of your investments no longer fit your goals, he’ll explain why, in plain English.

And, if you like, Daniel can explain how we provide investment advice and manage investment portfolios for our clients.

Please see our Contact page for details on how to get in touch with Daniel.
